We are Frankenstein Computers
In a small six-by-eight-foot office, a rag tag team of Doctor IT’s assembled a few desktops, from a discarded group of computers that were headed for the dumpster. We used parts out of several of the discarded computers, and were able to create two working computers. These two computers were our first sale, and solidified our drive to create FRANKENSTEIN Computers and Networking, born October, 1999. Frankenstein Computers Ltd. Co. is a Certified Computer Specialist firm, servicing the Information Technology needs of Austin, ever since.
We deliver …. professionalism. We maintain a professional office environment, with full automation and state of the art equipment. We have the capabilities to design, build, repair, and upgrade computers and servers, in Austin and the surrounding areas. We can remotely administer our clients’ workstations, servers, websites, and even networks. We answer all phone calls personally, with limited use of voice mail.
Frankenstein Computers and Network is created. We started in a very small office off of an alley on 53rd 1/2 and had only two clients. We made it our primary goal to give excellent customer service even if it costs the company, always show up to appointments on time, and bring big business support to small businesses in and around Austin, Texas.
We moved to our new office off of Burnet Rd and hired two web designers to join our team. We later found that it is very difficult to make clients happy with web design so even though it was profitable, we decided to get out of the web design business. We dabbled in creating Apple Apps, and made several, but found that it was a harder to make money since Apple takes half of the money charged. We brought 4 more Technicians and office staff in to the family to better take care of our growing list of happy clients.
We moved to our current office at Lamar and 183. We continued to hire staff to manage the growing list of clients and bring more talent into our happy family. We started pushing for more walk-in traffic and were able to increase it to over 400% of what we had at the Burnet office.
We now have 8 Technicians and two back office staff to take care of over 500 business clients and more than 200 residential. We worked very hard to become national resellers for most of the major internet and phone providers in our area including AT&T, Verizon, Century Link, Spectrum, Charter, Comcast, Mediacom, Grande, Cox, and DirecTV to name a few.
We now have 10 Technicians and two back office staff to take care of over 600 business clients and more than 300 residential. We implemented new software to help us better serve our growing list of clients and to make us more efficient. We have continued to build our services to include Network Management and Support, Desktop Support, Security Services, Antivirus Sales and Service, PC and MAC Repair and Upgrades, Data Recovery and Backup, PCI Compliance, HIPAA Compliance, and Website Design and Build.
